It is often said that writers tend to start writing with an exciting idea, but usually it all depends on the writer writing capability. How the writer want the readers to go along with the article, on this occasion I would like to quote what Blaise Pascal had once quoted, “ All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone”, what he meant by this was basically in this modern age consistency plays an important whether it be for any job, business or even life as a whole.

Famous writer Robert Greene, writes in his book “ The Daily Laws” that it is quite difficult to maintain one’s enthusiasm, energy, and freshness over a period of months and years especially as a writer. And for such difficulty, he started implementing Zen meditation as a source of focus. Zen meditation which is also known as (Zazen), involves emptying one’s mind, developing superior powers of focus (Joriki). And helps in gaining more access to the unconsciousness and intuitive form of thinking.

Meditation has improved his thinking as a writer, such as providing focus while reading or taking notes for a new book. According to him, the difficulties which he faced in his early days as a writer were ignored or forgotten. Other parts which had improved over time according to him were having a certain level of patience when dealing with drudgery of practice and handling petty criticism.

He even suggested that starting to meditate would help an individual in various aspects of life, such as dealing with issues related to restlessness on the path to mastery, or often finding small things aggravate or distract from life. Meditation could help solving those problems.

Daily Law: The Master’s mind must be able to concentrate on one thing for a long period of time. Develop such habits.
